Registrar

Characteristics of the Position:

Strong, independent person who can work as part of a cross-functional team.  Needs to be very detail orientated and have a flexible schedule, especially between July – December, to be able to address any registration or District 6 issues. Good communication skills.

 

Duties Include:

  • Register all players and coaches with USA Hockey and Minnesota Hockey.
  • Roster all PLSHA teams with District 6.
  • DOB/Birth Certificate validation for D6/USA Hockey.
  • Verify home address for all registered players to ensure they live within ISD #719.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing waivers; Ensure all waivers are valid for out of district
  • players.
  • Create and manage all PLSHA registrations (Season registrations, Rookie Camp,
  • tournament registrations, Board Application, Mite Jamboree, Give Hockey a Shot, Big
  • Skate, etc.)
  • Work with the PLSHA Board to determine registration costs and team declarations.
  • Submit Team Declarations to D6.
  • Ensure the registration page of the PLSHA website is updated prior to opening the
  • season registration (August 1 st ).
  • Work with Coaches Coordinator to obtain team coach names and required
  • documentation.
  • Run export reports for members of the PLSHA board.
  • Coordinate with the Treasurer any refunds to be issued or payments not made.
  • Create end-of-season Level Report and Yearly Analysis for PLSHA Executive BOD and
  • HDC.
  • Respond to all incoming emails and questions about registration sent to PLSHARegistrar@gmail.com.

 

Term:

The position is renewed annually at the discretion of the assigned Board member (Volunteer). The renewal notification will take place no later than the annual Association board meeting in April. Will receive a yearly stipend paid in November for the season by the Treasurer or taken as registration/ice bill credit throughout the season.
